Campbell’s Address Your Heart

Since I started getting Fit for Good, I’ve been making careful choices about what I eat. I cut out soda, reduced my sodium intake, and try to eat more fruits and vegetables every day. 

My absolute favorite chili recipe is from my mother. It tastes great and is easy to make. 

This is her original recipe. 


  • Brown 1# ground beef and 1 1/4 cup minced onion
  • Add and cook 10 minutes:
  • 2 1/2 cups kidney beans 
  • 1 1/3 cup tomato soup (1 Can)
  • Make a paste and blend in…
  • 1-2 t. chili powder (recipe calls for 1 1/2 T.)
  • 1 T. flour
  • 3 t. water
  • 1 t. salt
I found that I could change this recipe by switching from ground beef to turkey, using dried beans instead of canned, and using Campbell’s Healthy Request Tomato soup instead of the original. You can also add more flavor and protein by adding black beans and corn to the recipe. 
These simple changes to one of my favorite recipes doesn’t affect the taste at all, but makes the chili significantly better for you.
