Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 6 tablespoons light olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 (6 ounce) fillets salmon
Instructions
- Mix ingredients together (minus the salmon) to create a marinade.
- You can remove the skin from the salmon or leave it, but I’ve heard it has less of a fishy taste without the skin.
- Coat salmon and marinate for at least an hour, turning the salmon once.
- Wrap in foil and grill the salmon for 25 minutes.
- It is done when it flakes with a fork.

We love grilled salmon. Funny story… one family vacation about 8 years ago we went to Washington State and British Columbia. My husband was on the hunt for the best salmon he could find so every time we’d go out, he’d order it. He never found any that tasted better than what he makes on the grill. 🙂
Any clue about how long it takes, roughly??
About 25 minutes. I am making it tomorrow, so I will time it and update the recipe then.
Thanks for asking!

Cool I think it sounds great and look forward to making it myself .. maybe later this week! 🙂
Grilled salmon always sounds good I just never know how to make it, thanks for posting this.
And my favorite spice is a toss up between seasoning salt and hot sauce.
Great salmon recipe. I made it with a Chile-Roasted Feta and Watermelon Slab http://cuceesprouts.com/2010/10/chile-roasted-feta-and-watermelon-slab/ and the watermelon side dish really played well against the rich fish!
Can this be made on the broiler instead of a grill?
Maybe you could bake it, not sure about broiling.
What else is on the grill? And if those are potatoes, did you just slice them and put some seasoning on them then put them straight onto the grill?! If so, that would be SO wonderful to know you can do that!!! 🙂
OMG 25 minutes was way overdone. How hot was your grill?
Direct heat? Indirect heat?
Medium. Lower rack. I do grill with the entire grill full of food so that might be the difference? It is also an older grill- so less heat? Not sure. I’ll have to try the recipe on my new grill and perhaps adjust the time.
