Shepherd’s Pie

Shepherd’s Pie

  • 2 lbs ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • Garlic powder
  • 1 can cream of potato soup
  • 1 small bag frozen corn
  • Mashed potatoes (enough to cover a 9 x 13 pan)
  • Grated Cheese (cheddar or colby jack your choice)

Brown turkey on stove top, add onions during the last 3 minutes of cooking, I also season with some garlic powder. Mix turkey and onions with the cream soup. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with nonstick, then spread the turkey mixture in the bottom of the pan. Then layer the corn on top of the turkey, finally spread the mashed potatoes on top of the corn. Bake covered for about 25 minutes @ 350 degrees. During the last 5 minutes of cooking uncover the casserole and sprinkle with grated cheese.

  1. My girls love pierogis…actually so do I. I could probably eat the whole box, and I want to try and make my own!

Gave you a shout out on our blog!

  3. I love Williamsburg. Have fun! Blessings for your week.

  4. Great looking meal plan! I am definitely going to have to try those scallops next week. They sound delish!

  5. I copied this recipe over to my file. It’s one that I think my husband will actually enjoy, and I think the kids will too. BTW, thanks for stopping by for a visit. I hope to see you again! I loved your story about your first thanksgiving….reminds me of some of the cooking disasters I’ve had early on!

  6. I love your easy recipes. I’m making the ice cream cake you posted a while back for my son’s b-day.

Williamsburg is lovely this time of year. I live about 45 minutes from there and treasure weekend day trips to visit.

  7. Enjoy Williamsburg! I have you bookmarked to check out your other recipes…already I see you guys have some of the same tastes we do…salmon cakes, scallops, shepherd’s pie!
