I have been making my salad dressings for as long as I can remember. It is a frugal and delicious way to know what you are eating, since so many store bought salad dressings contain filler ingredients and preservatives.
This poppy seed salad dressing is my go-to recipe any time I take salad somewhere, and it is always in my pantry at home.
Poppy Seed Salad Dressing
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon finely grated onion
- 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons grapeseed oil (or other lightly flavored oil)
- 2 teaspoons evaporated cane juice (or sugar), if desired
- 1-1/2 teaspoons poppy seeds
Instructions
- Place all ingredients into a blender.
- Pulse several times to incorporate. You can also use an immersion blender.
- Store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator.

Hey Dawn,
Looks good and simple. Where do you buy grapeseed oil?
Thanks!
